Onslow set to benefit from a multi-purpose Hub facility
The Onslow Chamber of Commerce & Industry have secured more than $500,000 in funding from BHP to develop a multi-purpose Hub facility within the town of Onslow.
Catering to local and visiting businesses to Onslow as well as the wider Onslow community, the facility will provide critical resources that aren’t currently available within the region, including:
- Telecentre & basic administrative services
- Co-working, meeting and private office spaces for hire
- Business innovation and incubation programs and support
Onslow Chamber of Commerce & Industry CEO, Chantelle King, said:
“The establishment of a Hub has been a vision of the Chamber for several years. Thanks to generous support from BHP, we’re excited to develop a collaborative community space dedicated to building business and community engagement in Onslow.”
BHP Petroleum Australia Operations Manager Francis Bolzan said:
“We’re proud to support the Onslow Chamber to develop a facility that will strengthen and build the capacity of local business and be a catalyst for driving entrepreneurship and innovation within the region.”
With almost half of the project budget being invested in local Pilbara businesses and employment opportunities, the project will provide the added benefit of boosting the local economy.
Phase 1 of the project is currently underway, with consultants working closely with OCCI and it’s members and stakeholders to develop a robust business model and floor plan tailored to the unique needs of the local community.
